Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Mortgages by Ramin handles personal information when you use this website, contact Ramin or ask for help with a mortgage.
1. Who is responsible
Mortgages by Ramin is operated by Ramin Yousefi, Mortgage Broker (licence 509304), with Atlas Mortgage Group (brokerage licence 511268). In this policy, “we,” “us” and “our” refer to Mortgages by Ramin and Ramin Yousefi in connection with the services described here.
Questions or privacy requests may be sent to ramin@atlasmortgagegroup.ca, by telephone at 639-382-3417, or by mail to 1-1708 8th Avenue, Regina, SK S4R 1E7.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- contact details, such as your name, email address and telephone number;
- details about your mortgage goal, timing, preferred contact method and information you include in a message or form;
- financial, employment, identity, property and credit-related information you choose to provide during a mortgage inquiry or application;
- appointment details and correspondence with us;
- technical information such as browser type, device information, IP address, referring page and website activity; and
- consent records and communication preferences.
The website calculators run in your browser. Calculator inputs are intended for exploration and are not sent to us unless you separately include that information in a form, message or application.
3. Why we use information
We use personal information to respond to inquiries, book consultations, assess and support mortgage financing requests, communicate about an application, maintain records, improve and secure the website, manage our client relationships, and meet legal, regulatory, brokerage and professional obligations.
Where required, we use personal information for marketing or other optional communications only with appropriate consent. You may withdraw that consent at any time using the unsubscribe method provided or by contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect processing already completed and may not apply to service, legal or regulatory communications.
4. Consent and appropriate purposes
We seek meaningful consent when required and limit collection, use and disclosure to purposes that a reasonable person would consider appropriate in the circumstances. If a new purpose is materially different, we will explain it and obtain additional consent where required.
You may choose not to provide optional information. Some information is necessary to respond to a request, arrange financing, verify eligibility or meet legal and lender requirements, so declining may limit the services we can provide.
5. When information may be shared
We do not sell personal information. We may share it, as appropriate and with authority or consent where required, with:
- Atlas Mortgage Group personnel and service partners supporting your mortgage request;
- lenders, mortgage insurers, credit reporting agencies, appraisers, lawyers, real estate professionals and other parties involved in evaluating or completing a transaction;
- technology providers used for forms, customer relationship management, appointment booking, mortgage applications, hosting, security, communications or analytics, including GoHighLevel/Grow Coaching and Newton Connectivity Systems;
- regulators, law enforcement or other parties when disclosure is required or permitted by law; and
- a successor organization in a business transaction, subject to appropriate protections.
Some providers may process information outside Saskatchewan or Canada, where it may be subject to the laws of another jurisdiction. We use contractual or other reasonable measures to require service providers to protect information in their care.
6. Cookies and embedded services
This website may use essential cookies or similar technologies for functionality, security and preferences. Embedded forms and booking tools are supplied by third-party providers and may set their own cookies or collect technical data when loaded. Their handling of information is also governed by their own policies.
You can adjust browser settings to limit cookies, though parts of the website or embedded tools may not function as expected.
7. Safeguards and retention
We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. No online system can be guaranteed completely secure, and you should avoid sending highly sensitive documents through ordinary email unless specifically instructed.
We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above and to satisfy legal, regulatory, brokerage, lender and recordkeeping requirements. We then securely delete, destroy or anonymize it where reasonably possible.
8. Access, correction and complaints
You may ask to access or correct personal information we hold about you, subject to legal exceptions. You may also ask a question or challenge our privacy practices using the contact details above. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
If a concern is not resolved, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or another privacy regulator with jurisdiction.
9. Third-party websites and minors
Links to external websites, including application and booking platforms, are provided for convenience. We do not control those sites and recommend reviewing their privacy policies before providing information.
This website is intended for people who can legally enter into mortgage-related transactions. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services, providers or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top indicates the latest revision. Material changes will be highlighted where appropriate.
